Intelligent Energy – Europe
Intelligent Energy - Europe currently supports more than 200 international
projects, over 30 local/regional energy management agencies, and
just under 30 European events in 4 main areas:
New and Renewable energy sources (ALTENER) Energy efficiency, notably in buildings and industry (SAVE) Energy aspects of transport (STEER) Co-operation with developing countries (COOPENER
With a total budget of €250 million, Intelligent Energy - Europe
supports four types of activities, usually covering up to 50% of
the costs:
European projects European events Start-ups of local/regional energy agencies
Intelligent Energy Executive Agency
The Intelligent Energy Executive Agency (IEEA) implements the Intelligent Energy - Europe programme. With more than 40 staff, the IEEA manages the different projects and events funded under the IEE programme, and disseminates the know-how and best practices which result. This gives the programme a sharper focus and greater visibility.
IntellEbase
The searchable database IntellEbase gives details of more than 600
projects supported under the SAVE II and ALTENER II programmes, the
predecessors of Intelligent Energy - Europe.
